Welcome to a modern news platform founded on some really old fashioned ideas from days gone by.
The free press also known as the fifth estate was meant to be a platform that gives voice to the people and keeps those in government (of all forms) held to account to the wishes of the people.
In this day and age far too much of the 'press' is not a voice for the people but rather a voice for the 'masters'.
In a day when governments at all levels have taken on a life of their own and serve the corporations they work for rather than the people there is a great need for the peoples voice to be heard.
